Zazueira at the Annual Metamorfest

Metamorfest will be hitting the streets this Saturday, September 26th from Noon to 6:00 pm.  The festival is located on two blocks – one north of East Broadway on Fraser Street and one south of East Broadway on Prince Albert Street. The day will include live music, a whole host of activities and booths for children as well as a bouncy castle. There is something for all ages at this event. A couple of fun activities planned to keep an eye out for include Zumba and Laughter Yoga in the park.

Fronted by songstress Celia Enestrom, this authentic Brazilian band explores the exquisite rhythms and melodies of traditional and contemporary Brazilian music.

Zazueira’s music is influenced by a variety of styles and rhythms, such as the ever-popular Bossa Nova of Joao Gilberto, music from the Samba and Chorinho styles, and Brazilian Pop, strongly influenced by the Tropicalia styles from the north of Brazil. Zazueira brings together classic Bossa Nova and traditional Samba in modern variations that includes Samba Reggae, Samba Rock and their special Brazilian style of Pop, giving their music an energetic and exciting flavour.
